NOT AI Tools Agent Teams
AI tools remind me of shadow digital IT programs when I was leading Digital innovation at Adecco ($24bn Staffing firm). The trick is to let innovation breathe, then concentrate power and avoid silos before it’s too late.
There are too many tools, what about? “Team empowerment”.
AI tools won't beat Agent teams.
No hype, team workflow’s
We'll move past the initial infatuation with the shiny new tools, such as 'I use XYZ to write, and we get to scale.
The real question now is:
Where does company friction AND opportunity exist? (Do you know?)
That's where Agents belong, not a Silo shadow AI tool, but as a team’s strategic partner to solve real problems and unlock immense value.
My framework for approaching Agents is simple: Objectives, Tasks, Tools (OTT).
Every AI agent, just like every team, needs to understand the objective first.
Then, break it down into manageable tasks.
Only then do you pick the right tools.
Here’s what I’m seeing and what we’re building at EQ.app to help you navigate this new era:
1. NEW Team Value
AI will eliminate jobs & reshape them. This is clear now.
The real value in recruiting workflows is how team speed and insight are empowered to deliver a service.
Some aspects of the recruiting job are uniquely human. Step one, double down on those.
2. Focus on Friction
Ask: Where are the most significant pain points for use a CTI
Company?
Teams?
Individual?
Many companies are finding the right ICP (Ideal Candidate Profile) through staffing firms, which manage ~600+ job listings and over 60,000 applications per month..
They are identifying the ideal client(s) to match and repeat this process.
For high-skill placements, both clients and candidates, such as those we have been working with at EQ, appreciate that Agents deliver high-intent market maps with contact information in seconds, not days.
That's real, tangible value.
3. Speed Matters, So Does Inspection
"Fast" isn't enough if you're not also inspecting what you expecting.
You need to slow down to speed up, ensuring that your rapid advancements are leading to real results and not just chaos.
4. Winning Use Cases: Inbound vs. Outbound Recruiting
Inbound:
Agents automating the processing of thousands of applications unlock huge latent talent.
Agents sifting through a mountain of resumes to find the hidden gems. That's where AI shines.
Outbound & Passive:
Auto Agents in sourcing, teams can now identify “high intent” leads
Hyper-personalised optimal timing for outreach. However, real connections still require human trust.

Jensen Huang just shared nine big predictions for AI — and the impact goes far beyond GPUs.
AI will create more millionaires in 5 years than the internet did in 20 and that elite AI researchers are now valued like capital assets.
From “twin factories” (digital + physical) to a trillion‑dollar AI infrastructure boom, Huang frames AI as an economic and labor market overhaul.
My POV: Recruiting sits at the center of this shift.
Elite AI talent will get harder (and pricier) to land.
AI literacy becomes a baseline skill, not a bonus.
Entire industries will need recruiters who understand both humans and AI.
Norway’s $1.8T Wealth Fund Saves 213,000 Hours a Year with AI
Norway’s sovereign wealth fund — the world’s largest at $1.8T — just delivered one of the boldest AI transformations we’ve seen.
Under CEO Nikolai Tangen, AI use isn’t optional:
“If you don’t use AI, you won’t be promoted. You won’t get a job.”
By making AI mandatory (and backing it with training, 40 AI “ambassadors,” and a partnership with Anthropic’s Claude), the fund:
Automated tasks like earnings call analysis and executive pay reviews
Integrated AI directly into workflows
Saved an estimated 213,000 work hours a year
My POV:
Mandates + support work — voluntary AI adoption leaves gaps.
Recruiting will see this model first: expect AI fluency to become table stakes for advancement.
The “assistant era” of AI is ending, and the “agent era” (autonomous digital coworkers) is starting.
America’s AI Action Plan: A Blueprint for Global Leadership (and Recruiting)
The White House AI Action Plan — and it’s more than policy. It’s a play to cement the U.S. as the AI leader in tech, talent, and standards.
The plan focuses on three big pillars:
Open models – to make U.S.-built models the global default and keep innovation aligned with democratic values.
Massive infrastructure buildout – more power, chips, and grid capacity to fuel AI growth (think 50+ gigawatts by 2028).
AI diplomacy & export strategy – spreading U.S. AI systems and standards worldwide, while locking competitors out.
Why it matters:
Recruiting tools will increasingly run on American-built AI models — with more transparency and ethical guardrails.
Infrastructure investments mean faster, more reliable AI recruiting platforms.
U.S. standards will set the tone globally — influencing how companies everywhere hire, assess, and manage talent.
