I firmly believe that continuously engaging with your customers is crucial to developing any product or service.
Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking with Rocki Howard, Founder of Diversiology.io.
Hearing how EQbuddy is being utilised daily to help her deliver exceptional value inspired me for this week's newsletter. Having tools, especially in recruiting and HR, that allow you to achieve a continuous state of Business flow is where success truly happens.
What is Business Flow?
Similar to athletes, businesses that are running at peak level experience a state of "flow." It's hard to describe, but when all the elements align, and all efforts are focused, leaders and consultants know this feeling.
(AI is a part of that toolset and may even be the glue that keeps you in a state of flow)
Before building tech during my time as an SDR in recruiting at 23 years old, I had a turning point when I realized that understanding how my clients' clients achieve success could lead to mutual benefit, especially in recruiting. I shifted my focus from simply making sales to genuinely helping others.
What changed?
Reflecting on this experience, I concluded that our business had achieved a state of flow. Why?
Our brand aligned with the problems we solve, which in turn aligned with the product we offer, ultimately resonating with people who wanted to buy from us.
This alignment was due to our purpose, positioning, product, and principles all coming together.
Achieving a state of flow in business is not just about $ it requires intense focus, even if it feels uncomfortable; this also comes with a great sense of responsibility. When working with customers who rely on your business, you feel immense pressure to satisfy them.
Flow, in this context, refers to aligning all these elements. It's about understanding who your customers are, how you communicate with them, and what your brand represents. I firmly believe that achieving flow starts with a clear purpose, and everything else falls into place when all the variables align.

We are still very early, but we strive to create meaningful connections through all mediums, from person to product, and elicit a "wow" reaction from people interacting with the brand (it’s a journey for sure).
Whilst Striving to simplify unnecessary complexity and focus on the fundamentals, just as in sports (overused but still relevant)
My 8-year-old son reminded me during a visit to his favourite restaurant, Good to Eat Dumplings, that the key to success is delivering “fresh ingredients, good food, and excellent customer service.”
This resonated with me and highlighted the importance of focusing on what truly matters!
Overall, alignment is the essence of achieving business flow.
