After an amazing trip to Universal Studios (the first time) with the family last week, I picked up balloons for my son and daughter, whose birthdays are days apart. The first time, I noticed a big sign pointing to a new balloon store. This was a bit strange. Where did it go?
I found out that Ronny, the new store's owner, had worked at the old balloon store for 20 years.
Ronny thought set up his own balloon store two doors down from his previous employers.
We got chatting; as a new business owner, we talked about margins and supply-and-demand customers, and it was just a great conversation.
He then shared that his problem was, "I can't speak to everyone who calls me,” but he could be missing out on business if he didn't take the call.
On my second visit, I showed him what we were doing with AI and had EQBuddy act like a balloon specialist (not a recruiter).
He was blown away (excuse the pun) because EQbuddy not only asked questions and provided the customer success he wanted, but it also moved the conversation along.
Just this week we I found a couple of our EQbuddy customers that needed help with “managing” demand, not “generating”
They received a lot of demand for job requests and had candidates but there was a mismatch: the supply needed certified candidates and there are lots.
The nuance is not the shortage, but it’s not about candidates' readiness.
“Due to the specific nature of the roles and positions, we receive many applications, making it difficult to assess whether a candidate is a good fit for the current role or potential future roles.” one customer told me.
Our deep understanding on recruiting has enabled us to build strong relationships with our clients, allowing them to share and for us to really understand their problems effectively way before we find solutions.
To address this, we have decided to start a pilot program called
“RECRUITING’s BIG HAIRY PROBLEMS”
Feel free to share yours the bigger the hairier the better
To make the best use of AI, it's essential to gather and understand the problems faced by both internal and external clients.
By doing so, we can use AI to solve these problems and create new opportunities for our business.
I am eager to learn about the BHP you currently face and the main issues your clients encounter.
A fundamental understanding of business problems is a better solution than most products.
